For the first time in the Russian Federation, 23 million tons of coal products have been handled and shipped within a calendar year by one stevedoring company. The record was achieved by JSC “Vostochny Port” production complexes.

The last year’s cargo turnover of 22.77 million tons has not become the top figure for the Russian largest coal port. None of the national coal stevedores has ever passed the milestone. JSC “Vostochny Port” is going to stretch its lead until the end of this year.

“The record performance of 23 million tons is a result of the joint efforts of JSC “Vostochny Port” and “Managing Port Company Ltd.”, - noted JSC “Vostochny Port” Managing Director Anatoly Lazarev. – Together we beat out own previous records and outranked other coal ports of the country. We are going to move beyond. Next year the Coal Complex Phase 3 will be commissioned, that will enable the port to considerably increase its cargo turnover and thus to enhance transport potential of the Far East and contribute to the development of Russian port infrastructure”.
